For the avid naturalist, and first-timers alike, this Dolphin Watching trip along the coastline from Ballina to Byron Bay, promises an unforgettable experience like nothing else! Cape Byron Marine Reserve boasts an abundance of wildlife and biodiversity, and plays host to 80-120 Dolphins year-round. There’s a Marine Biologist on board, to teach you about the local pods of dolphins, their habits and behaviours, and Dolphin sightings are guaranteed, or you’re invited back free of charge.

Dolphins sighting guaranteed or return for free. Return tickets are not transferable, subject to availability and must be redeemed within the same season.

Please be aware that the crew reserves the right to prohibit anyone from taking part if they deem it unsafe. If any of the below is not found out until on the day, you may not be permitted to join the tour and you may not receive a refund.

    • Children under the age of 16 years must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

    • Minimum Age: 5 years.

    • If you have any pre-existing medical conditions, are taking prescription medication or you are suffering from any injury or illness, then it is important that tour provider is made aware in-advance. If they deem it too dangerous or unsafe, they reserve the right to prohibit you entering the water or joining the tour and refunds will be issued. 

    • If you are pregnant, unfortunately, you are unable to join this tour.

    • This vessel is wheelchair and walker accessible.

This tour operates out of Ballina, NSW.

Please meet 15 minutes prior to departure, at address: Lance Ferris Wharf, 12 Fawcett Street, Ballina, NSW, 2478.

Customers are not contacted unless the tour has been cancelled or the departure location has been changed. If you haven’t heard from anyone, please meet at the location stated in your confirmation email.

24hrs prior to cruise departure you will receive a cruise reminder and be required to submit a mandatory digital waiver required to participate in your cruise, to keep both passengers and crew safe. Submit within 24hrs prior to cruise. You will be unable to board the vessel if you have not completed the waiver form.

You will receive a confirmation email upon purchasing this tour which will provide you with all of the relevant information, e.g. CONTACT NUMBERS,  ADDRESS ETC.

Water Bottle, Sunscreen, warm clothing/ windproof jacket, and polarised sunglasses are recommended for best viewing through the surface of the water.

Medication: (If you require to take medication throughout the duration of this tour, please remember to bring this with you. If you deem it necessary, please inform a member of staff, on board your vessel, where within your belongings this can be found).

Seasickness Medication – You may experience seasickness out on the open ocean. We suggest that you should speak with your pharmacist in advance of your trip, to seek their advice on seasickness medication. We will not reschedule bookings or issue refunds for those suffering from seasickness.

Out of the Blue” is a high-powered rigid-hull ribs, with comfortable seating and cover from the elements. There is a toilet on board.

Please be aware that refund policies do not cover travel, accommodation or any other associated costs. We recommend you take out travel insurance to cover unforeseeable cancellations.

What if the tour provider cancels?
In the event of poor sea conditions, minimum numbers not being reached or for any other reason, the tour operator reserves the right to cancel the tour. If your trip cannot be rescheduled to your satisfaction, you will receive a full refund.

What if you cancel?
Tickets are NON-REFUNDABLE. If you wish to put your experience on hold, with more than 48 hours notice ahead of your tour departure, your booking can be held for up to 3 years. 

No-shows/ those looking to put their tickets on hold within 48 hours of departure, will forfeit their tickets.
