This half-day cruise takes you through the stunning Great Sandy Straits Marine Park, and you’ll have the chance to spot dolphins, dugongs, and turtles. If conditions are safe, you can even snorkel with the turtles! The skipper has over 40 years of experience and knows all the best spots, so you’re guaranteed to have an amazing time.

After your snorkel, head to Weenandin (Round Island) for some relaxation on the sandy beach. Immerse yourself in the culture of the Butchulla people and learn all about their fascinating history. This is an experience you won’t want to miss!

– Snorkelling equipment: Mask*, Snorkel and Fins

* Corrective Lens Masks are not available to hire. We recommend that you wear contact lenses or consider purchasing your own prescription mask. These can be ordered through our affiliated dive store, CLICK HERE 

PLEASE NOTE: Wetsuits are not provided, although 2mm thermal tops are inclusive in the price for hire, as well as full-face masks if you would prefer.

Please be aware that the crew reserves the right to prohibit anyone from participating if they deem it unsafe. If any of the below is not found out until on the day, you may not be permitted to join the tour and you may not receive a refund.

  • Swimmers of ALL AGES must be confident in their swimming and snorkelling ability.
  • Children under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by an adult at all times, on-board or in-water.
  • Children under the age of 4 years are not permitted to enter the water during the snorkelling element of the tour, although they may join their parents for a swim off the beach.
  • If you have any pre-existing medical conditions, are taking prescription medication or you are suffering from any injury or illness, then it is important that tour provider is made aware in-advance. If they deem it too dangerous or unsafe, they reserve the right to prohibit you entering the water or joining the tour and refunds will be issued. Please state within the medical conditions on the following page.


  • If you are pregnant, unfortunately, you are unable to join this tour.
  • If you are unable to walk on-board or are wheelchair bound, unfortunately, you are unable to join this tour.

This tour operates out of Urangan Marina, Hervey Bay, QLD.

Complimentary Transfers are included, please select your pick-up location on the following page. Rather meet the crew there? There is free parking at the Urangan Marina. Please check-in promptly 15 minutes prior to departure.

Customers are NOT contacted UNLESS the trip is cancelled, or the time and/or location of their transfer service is changed. If you don’t hear from anyone, please meet at the time and location stated in your booking details.

You will receive a confirmation email upon purchasing this tour which will provide you with all of the relevant information, e.g. CONTACT NUMBERS,  ADDRESS ETC.

Please wear your swimmers ahead of arrival. Towel, Water Bottle, Sunscreen (Reef safe, please), warm clothing/ windproof jacket, and polarised sunglasses are recommended for best viewing through the surface of the water.

Medication: (If you require to take medication throughout the duration of this tour, please remember to bring this with you. If you deem it necessary, please inform a member of staff, on board your vessel, where within your belongings this can be found).

Seasickness Medication – You may experience seasickness out on the open ocean. We suggest that you should speak with your pharmacist in advance of your trip, to seek their advice on seasickness medication. We will not reschedule bookings or issue refunds for those suffering from seasickness.

Welcome onboard “Milbi” – 39ft glass bottom low-carbon-impact Eco vessel (meaning Sea-Turtle in the local language of the Butchulla people). Surveyed to carry 36 passengers and with the convenience of a WC, dry storage and comfortable shaded seating.

The vessel is custom designed with large glass panels allowing for a clear view of the coral gardens and marine life below. A boarding platform allows the convenience of direct beach landings, easy access for snorkelers and ease of access for physically challenged passengers.

Please be aware that refund policies do not cover travel, accommodation or any other associated costs. We recommend you take out travel insurance to cover unforeseeable cancellations.

What if the tour provider cancels?
In the event of poor sea conditions, minimum numbers not being reached or for any other reason, the tour operator reserves the right to cancel the tour. If your trip cannot be rescheduled to your satisfaction, you will receive a full refund.

What if you cancel?

If you wish to cancel/transfer your booking MORE THAN 24 hours from your departure, you’ll receive a full refund.

If you wish to cancel/transfer your booking within 24 hours of your departure, 60% of your tour price will be charged.

If you wish to cancel/transfer after departureyou will not receive a refund.
