Please be aware that the crew reserves the right to prohibit anyone from participating if they deem it unsafe. If any of the below is not found out until on the day, you may not be permitted to join the tour and you may not receive a refund.

• Prams/strollers can be brought onboard. Please contact the tour operator on the details provided in your confirmation email, to check that there will be sufficient space on board.
• Children under the age of 15 years must be accompanied by a parent at all times.
• If you are pregnant, you are welcome to join along at your own discretion.
• This vessel is wheelchair accessible.
• Drones are not permitted.

This tour operates out of Hervey Bay, QLD

Please check-in with the team 15-minutes prior to departure time (the time selected at booking), at Shop 2, Great Sandy Straits Marina, 17 Buccaneer Dr, Urangan, Hervey Bay, Queensland 4655, Australia.

You will not be contacted unless your tour is cancelled, or ocean conditions are less favourable and alternative options are offered. Please keep your phone turned-on and in-reception the day before your trip, to allow the crew to make contact with you, should they need to. If you don’t hear from anyone, please meet the crew at the boat at the location and time stated in your confirmation email.

You will receive a confirmation email upon purchasing this tour which will provide you with all of the relevant information, e.g. CONTACT NUMBERS,  ADDRESS ETC.

Warm clothing/ windproof jacket, sensible non-slip shoes (Please NO black-soled shoes). Polarised sunglasses are recommended for best viewing through the surface of the water.

Medication: (If you require to take medication throughout the duration of this tour, please remember to bring this with you. If you deem it necessary, please inform a member of staff, on board your vessel, where within your belongings this can be found).

Seasickness Medication – You may experience seasickness out on the open ocean. We suggest that you should speak with your pharmacist in advance of your trip, to seek their advice on seasickness medication. We will not reschedule bookings or issue refunds for those suffering from seasickness.

“MV Whalesong 2” is a 16.4-meter, custom-built whale and dolphin watching vessel with extra-wide decks for wheelchair access, concertinaed seating and multiple levels from the water-level to the rear, to elevated views from the top-deck. There is comfortable cushioned seating inside, a licensed and well stocked bar, and toilets on board. 

The vessel is light weight, allowing for a low carbon impact and has 4-ballast tanks for added stability on the water. 

Surveyed to carry up to 100 passengers, numbers are capped for your comfort.

Please be aware that refund policies do not cover travel, accommodation or any other associated costs. We recommend you take out travel insurance to cover unforeseeable cancellations.

What if the tour provider cancels?
In the event of poor sea conditions, minimum numbers not being reached or for any other reason, the tour operator reserves the right to cancel the tour. If your trip cannot be rescheduled to your satisfaction, you will receive a full refund. 

What if you cancel?
If you wish to cancel or transfer your booking MORE THAN 48 hours ahead of your departure, you’ll receive a full refund and not incur any fees.

If you wish to cancel your booking LESS THAN 48 hours from your departure, you will not receive a refund.
