Hook Island Cultural and Snorkelling Tour

Adults only. Participants are priced the same whether they choose to snorkel or not.

Price includes:
– Transfer Service: Complimentary transfers are available between Cannonvale and Jubilee Pocket, if you are staying at an Air B&B outside these areas please contact us for your closest pick up location. Please select your pick up location on the payment page.
– Snorkelling equipment: Wetsuit/Stinger Suit, Mask*, Snorkel and Fins
* Corrective Lens Masks are available to hire (extra cost). Please register your interest in the special requirements on the following page. Alternatively, we recommend that you wear contact lenses or consider purchasing your own prescription mask. These can be ordered through our affiliated dive store, CLICK HERE 

• A Lady Enid crew person will greet you at your accommodation and transfer you to Coral Sea Marina.
• Once the sails are set, morning tea will be served amongst the Whitsunday Islands. Fresh coffee, a beautiful selection of teas, hot chocolate and a fresh selection traditional morning tea favourites to delight a variety of tastebuds.
• Sail into the calm waters of Nara Inlet, on Hook Island to explore the Ngaro Cultural Site, up a short but steep bushwalking track. Immerse yourself in the thought-provoking displays depicting Ngaro life in the Whitsunday islands, one of the oldest Australian Indigenous cultures.
• Lunch is served on return to Lady Enid, a locally produced gourmet menu.
• Your snorkelling destination will be at one of the mesmerising reef sites on the renowned Hook Island. Hook Island offers some of the best known Whitsunday Islands coral reefs to explore and stunning fish to view.
• A scrumptious fruit platter is served after your snorkelling adventure.
• As we sail back home in style a complimentary glass of sparkling and antipasto platter will be served.
• Transfer back to your accommodation.

Upgrades:

• Please note: This is an adults only sailing experience (18+). Fitness Level: The track to the cultural site is steep and rocky, and can be challenging. The 340m walk is graded “moderate” by National Parks.

• Please be aware that the crew reserves the right to prohibit anyone from participating if they deem it unsafe. If any of the below is not found out until on the day, you may not be permitted to join the tour and you may not receive a refund.

  • If you are pregnant, you can join at your own discretion. 
  • If you are  wheelchair bound, unfortunately, you are unable to join this tour.  

This tour operates out of the Airlie Beach, QLD.

Customers are NOT contacted UNLESS the trip is cancelled, or the time and/or location of their transfer service is changed. If you don’t hear from anyone, please meet at the time and location stated in your booking details.

You will receive a confirmation email upon purchasing this tour which will provide you with all of the relevant information, e.g. CONTACT NUMBERS,  ADDRESS ETC

• Sunscreen
• Swimwear and towel
• Camera
• A secure hat, sunglasses and sun safe clothing, such as a lightweight, long sleeve top
• Light jacket/jumper for windy wet or cool days (warmer jacket for winter June-Aug)
• Shoes you don’t mind getting wet (when exiting the dinghy at the caves you may be in ankle deep water)
• Footwear suitable for the bush walks to the cave in Nara Inlet – if you are steady on foot, sandals or flip flops are sufficient for these walks
• Before you board you will be asked to remove your shoes, unless you have white soft sole shoes on

Medication: (If you require to take medication throughout the duration of this tour, please remember to bring this with you. If you deem it necessary, please inform a member of staff, on board your vessel, where within your belongings this can be found).

Seasickness Medication: You may experience seasickness out on the open ocean. We suggest that you should speak with your pharmacist in advance of your trip, to seek their advice on seasickness medication. We will not reschedule bookings or issue refunds for those suffering from seasickness.

“Lady Enid” is a 74ft/23m/21-birth John G. Alden Ketch, built by John Cockle in Milperra, Sydney and launched in 1961.  This beautiful racing yacht takes us back in time to the days when Australia’s most famous sailing races were dominated by timber boats designed with timeless, graceful lines. Lady Enid is well known within the established Australian yachting fraternity and has a long tradition of racing including five Sydney to Hobart races and 15 Brisbane to Gladstone races, sealing her place in Australian racing history when she came first over the line in the first ever Sydney to Brisbane (now Mooloolaba) race in 1964. The Graham family now own this beautiful lady and have given her a home sailing the beautiful Whitsunday Islands. They gave her a wonderful restoration over a period of six months. She now showcases as an elegant adventure sailing experience through the magnificent Whitsunday Islands.

Please be aware that refund policies do not cover travel, accommodation or any other associated costs. We recommend you take out travel insurance to cover unforeseeable cancellations.

What if the tour provider cancels?
In the event of poor conditions, minimum numbers not being reached or for any other reason, the tour operator reserves the right to cancel the tour. If your trip cannot be rescheduled to your satisfaction, you will receive a full refund.
