MINIMUM AGE* Children under the age of 8 years are only allowed to enter the water at the skippers discretion on the day.

Children under the age of 16 years must be confident and must be accompanied by an adult at all times whether in-water or onboard

If a Shark is not sighted on the day, all passengers receive a $300 voucher to return within a 12 month period.

Price includes:
– Breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, plus coffee/tea and filtered water. Dietary requirements accommodated for, please state on the payment page.
– Full set of Hire Equipment  
For the Shark Cage: 7mm Wetsuit, Boots, Gloves, Mask*, Weight belt, Regulator.
For the Sea Lion Swim:  7mm Wetsuit,  Mask* & Snorkel and Fins  

* Corrective Lens Masks may be available to hire (limited availability). Please let us or the tour operator know in advance of your trip.  Alternatively, we recommend that you wear contact lenses or consider purchasing your own prescription mask.

Please be aware that the crew reserves the right to prohibit anyone from entering the water if they deem it unsafe. If any of the below is not found out until on the day, you may not be permitted to join the tour and you may not receive a refund.

  • If you have any pre-existing medical conditions, are taking prescription medication or you are suffering from any injury or illness, then it is important that the tour provider is made aware in-advance. If they deem it too dangerous or unsafe, they reserve the right to prohibit you entering the water or joining the tour and refunds will be issued. Please disclose this information on the following page.
  • If you are pregnant, you can join this tour and participate in the activities of the day but at your own risk. PLEASE CONSIDER: Being pregnant may make you more susceptible to the symptoms of seasickness – and you may not be able to take most seasick medicines. We recommend that you seek advice and clarification from your doctor before commencement of the tour.

This tour operates out of Port Lincoln, SA.

If you have pre-ordered a transfer, please refer to your confirmation email for pick up location/time. Please don’t be late.

Rather the meet the crew there meet at 6am at 3/10 South Quay Boulevard (blue fronted building).

This trip is subject to sea conditions. Please call the tour operator between 3:30pm – 5pm on the day before your trip to confirm. 

You will receive a confirmation email upon purchasing this tour which will provide you with all of the relevant information, e.g. CONTACT NUMBERS,  ADDRESS ETC.

Please wear your swimmers ahead of arrival. Water Bottle, Sunscreen (Reef safe, please), warm clothing/ windproof jacket, and polarised sunglasses are recommended for best viewing through the surface of the water.

Seasickness Medication – You may experience seasickness out on the open ocean. We suggest that you should speak with your pharmacist in advance of your trip, to seek their advice on seasickness medication. We will not reschedule bookings or issue refunds for those suffering from seasickness.

“MV Calypso Star 2” was acquired in 2009 and underwent an extensive refit to transform her into the magnificent vessel she is today. In 2013 we installed a state of the art Seakeeper Gyroscopic Stabiliser to reduce vessel roll whilst travelling and at anchor which greatly minimises seasickness and increases comfort throughout the day. With a length of 19.95 metres, powered by CAT C32-1200hp engines, there’s a fully enclosed spacious saloon, lounge style seating with air-conditioning, a full galley, meals area and bar. The main deck is partially covered, leading onto the huge swim platform that carries their huge 8 person shark cage. The huge upper deck provides a perfect elevated position for spotting sharks and offers a further covered seating area. There is an espresso coffee machine on board, as well as 2 hot showers and 2 toilets.

Passenger Capacity: Maximum of 45 passengers. Maximum of 8 in the Shark Cage.

Distance to Dive Site: Hopkins Island is approximately 30 miles from Port Lincoln, Neptune Island is a further 30 miles .

Please be aware that refund policies do not cover travel, accommodation or any other associated costs. We recommend you take out travel insurance to cover unforeseeable cancellations.

What if the tour provider cancels?
In the event of poor sea conditions, minimum numbers not being reached or for any other reason, the tour operator reserves the right to cancel the tour. If your trip cannot be rescheduled to your satisfaction, you will receive a full refund.

What if you make changes to your booking?

• Customers are welcome to change their charter date up to 7 days prior without incurring any additional charges. 
• Changes between from 7 days up to 48 hours prior incur a 20% administration fee.
• Changes within 48 hours of the charter are not permitted.

What if you wish to cancel?

• ​No shows and cancellations inside 48 hours prior – no refund.
• Cancellations from time of booking up to 48 hours prior to departure – 20% cancellation fee.
• Cancellations due to COVID-19 are subject to our normal terms and conditions.
• Gift voucher refund, within the month, are refunded to the value of 80%. Outside of a month are not refundable.
